Nocturne
By Dylan Kull
Slip me back into the stream
where the current wrests control
And the songbird sings
And I submit to listening.
Send me back to her sweet song
That sent sound waves as ripples
Placing delicate thimbles
On my exposed skin.
Come back for me as I count the grains of your personage.
Return me to flight so I may never land.
I reach into the night
for you to take my hand
And find myself swiping at stardust.
